Payload Subsystem

Purpose: the payload system is a mission specialized section of the agent.  This subsystem comprises the hardware necessary to perform a specific mission function but that is generally unrelated to the fundamental life of the agent (or survival).  That is if the payload subsystem failed, the agent could continue to operate albeit perhaps without a function.  This includes video cameras, temperature sensors, etc. that are not used for the robots subsystems but are data gathered for external source use.
